Ann Goodhand ~1823 - 1909
~1823. Ann Goodhand is born Tealby/ Scawby, Lincolnshire, to parents unknown ,
I had , wrongly, deduced! ,to Charles & Mary Goodhand. Baptised to them on 6/1/1828 Worlaby - IGI . But, a Gwen Bucknall Ancestry Family tree, 341 people, has her baptised 21/12/1822 Scawby, a closer date, yet no parents given! Have sent her a message -8/3/2015.- no reply!. Seemingly no 1822 baptisms Scawby in 1822 on FS
No ~1823 baptism on IGI, FS, Ancestry or FMP, do, a dead end here!. But a Sutherland Ancestry tree does name her parents and more forebears. It has Ann Goodhand incorrectly dying in 1884, but even so I reckon there may be truth in these ancestors:
Ann Goodhand was baptised 21/12/1822 in Scawby to William Goddhand & Ann Bilton : this not on FS, IGI, Ancestry nor FMP, so Sutherland owner must have searched the Scawby parish records- cannot find these online.. So sent a message to Frances Sutherland on 26/6/2016 : she descended from Ethel Bucknall 1890, sister of Garry's ggrandmother Mabel Bucknall 1880. Also a Kemp/Goodhand tree which might be the source of the Goodhand facts , so also sent its owner, DainaElizabethKnight, a message on 26/6/2016
1841C. There is an Ann Goodhand, 15, ages rounded down, in Killingholme , with a Francis, 20, butcher.. Likely to be siblings as no Francis Goodhand marriage 1838-1841.
And, with more research, am certain the Ann Goodhand below marries William Cox in 1850, Glanford Brigg!!
Endowed hospital for Poor Women , Worlaby, Glanford Brigg . This funded in 1663 by Lord Belasye- in 1821 it contained 50 houses and housed 262 people . Her father a shepherd. Worlaby just to the NE of Scawby
